From halfway house to halfway house, Through recovery then out the other side again, from living in the Adirondack Inn for 5 months with breaks in between to do dope at a friends house, crash on couches, wander around saratoga springs encountering a lot of new bright characters and friends but never really knowing my relation to each one, this album was a journey for me, starting when I put a pen to paper and threw together some chords to build what ultimately became ol' trunk of g.a.o.t.u, the first song on a long journey of writing. It developed with first just 3 songs in december, but soon became 13 (plus a cover) after only 3 and a half months, reflecting hopelessness, joy, confusion, frustration, anger, and a dreamlike sense that my soul was not alone. Take it for what it's worth to you, but this album was a big milestone for me.
